Wyandotte Football To Appear on SRD

Sports Radio Detroit and Wyandotte football have reached an agreement to air all Bears home games and its four-way scrimmage beginning in August on sportsradiodetroit.com

Both Sports Radio Detroit and Wyandotte head coach Ron Adams are excited about the newly formed partnership that began forming in January.

“We are always looking for new opportunities to grow the site in any way we can,” co-owner Ben Szilagy said. “It’s rare when you get to be welcomed into a community so passionate about high school sports and the great students that represent it. Needless to say, we’re excited to be a new part of Wyandotte’s storied tradition.”

Both Szilagy and co-owner Roger Castillo will act as the broadcasting crew for the games.

“Downriver football has always had a great and passionate fan base. We’re pleased to combine our passions and theirs to bring listeners from across the area into the stadium with us on Friday nights,” Castillo added.

The focus of the broadcasts will be about the game, naturally. But, it will also give you insights to the players that represent Wyandotte football and their work within the community as well.

Sports Radio Detroit will broadcast all of the Bears’ home games in its inaugural season, but will look to expand the broadcast schedule in the coming seasons. All home games will be live on the website, and will be  archived on the site for on demand listening.
